The yacht harbour in Savona, called Vecchia Darsena, is to the end of commercial harbour and in the city centre and in a truly strategic position near reception area, gardens and sanitary services. Acces trought bridge, boats high more than 5,50 m must to contact Assonautica on channel 9 VHF and to wait for bridge's opening. Before the bridge, there are another pontoons, a fews steps away from the city centre: Santa Lucia and Miramare. The harbour combines old-fashioned charm with modern comforts. That's why it's not only an attractive summer tourist haven, but also a comfortable and safe "residential port". Facing east, it is sheltered against the wind in all directions. 3. Navigation * Day approach: coming from S or from SE identify the two huge chimneys of the Vado industrial estate. * Night approach: orange lights of the harbour visible a great distance away assist entry to the port. * Access : at all times head to the end of the harbour, to the right, the skyscraper and the ancient Leon Pancaldo tower before the lifting bridge; The harbour provides excellent shelter almost in the centre of the town.
